SHADOWS AND DEFOG

I have always wanted to write on a regular basis, not that there is a red monster which ties me down whenever I intend to. I do not write because I always have very little to write, most of the moments are lost in thinking in what to write about at the same time battling the urge to write.

SHADOWS AND DEFOG is something in the direction of finding a solution to the aforementioned problem. The title is however only indicative of the things which are to be written, in this space sights and sounds of the gone weeks will be jotted, by doing so I have the subject to say the least.

Radio Days (1987, English)
The movie was watched earlier this month, in my previously unconscious now very evident appetite for Woody Allen’s films; though most of the movies look very similar, these are the result of the Allen’s rumination on love, life and cinema. Radio Days is no different, an ode to the radio and its unseen stars; will surely be one of my personal favorite joining the ranks of Hannah and her Sisters.

                                                La Jetee(1962, French)
La Jetee is short film by Chris Marker about an unnamed man and his travels through time in a dystopian future.  La Jetee is also the film which inspired Terry Gilliam’s brilliant Twelve Monkeys which is why I watched the film in the first place.

                                                 Green Zone (2010, English)
Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon team up again for this docu-style war drama about the hunt for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, engaging fare.
